 Online collaboration is one of the key sources that media professionals use social media channels. Identify three other reasons that media professionals use social media channels.

1- Industry Chat Forums. They can ask questions, talk to other through work forums and have notices. For example Next use Yapster where you can talk to the other employees.

2- They can crowdfund to get have donations for the project they would like to create if they don't have the funding in their business. An example of where you can do this is QuickStarter.

3- Social media can make your business more aware and create online content for audiences across the globe. You could also get online commisions this way. For example you could create social media advertising campaigns across Instagram, Facebook... For example Disney used Instagram and Facebook to promote WandaVision by creating banners that spread across three posts.

Explain why one of the reasons outlined in 1a is beificial for media professionals.

Crowdfunding is beneficial since companies can fund a project if they don't have the money. This is good since it alsospreads awareness of the project and they can gain a following of fans through pages such as KickStarter.

Question 2: Identify and explain two examples of how social media tools have allowed media professionals to collaborate. Use examples.

YouTube has allowed YouTube influencers to collaborate with each other by appearing in each others YT videos and announcing the other's YouTube account, asking to subscribe to them or check out their videos. For example, Game Theory collaborates with lots of YouTubers to raise money for charity (MrBeast, Dream...).  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5TVJPh_hrIU

 Another social media that allows professionals to collaborate is Instagram. This social media allows professionals to collaborate by creating a video or post that both of them are a part of. Avril Lavigne advertises her new music video for Flames on social media and collabs with Mod Sun with this by mentioning. She does this with MGK when she goes on the Mainstream Sellout Tour with him.

 Arianna Grande advertised her R.E.M. perfume across YouTube, Instagram and Facebook. The perfume was very hyped; she modelled the bottle to look like crystals and she took inspiration from her "Break Free" song and music video collab with Zedd.  Here you can see that the 12th November 2020 is the date this advertisement was released. In the video, Ariana Grande is a superhero, she has to save the planet and her dog from the evil robot. This reaches her target audience of teenage girls and younger women aged 13-25 since this video is animated, the colour scheme includes lots of purples, pinks and whites and the storyline is interesting to them.      Here you can see the advertising campaign is on for about a week.  Alka Marwaha (2009) watching TV is increasingly being integrated with social networking, via screens such as the smart TV, smart phones, tablets and laptops. This allows people to watch TV, film and online videos and chat about them together regardless of their geographic location. TV is more like secondary media now. Thoughts online when watching tv show.
