Social Media Advertising Campaigns and questions 1-3
Arianna Grande advertised her R.E.M. perfume across YouTube, Instagram and Facebook. The perfume was very hyped; she modelled the bottle to look like crystals and she took inspiration from her "Break Free" song and music video collab with Zedd.
Here you can see that the 12th November 2020 is the date this
advertisement was released. In the video, Ariana Grande is a superhero,
she has to save the planet and her dog from the evil robot. This reaches
her target audience of teenage girls and younger women aged 13-25 since this video is animated, the colour scheme includes lots of purples, pinks and whites and the storyline is interesting to them.
Here you can see the advertising campaign is on for about a week. She did a photoshoot for the R.E.M. perfume and posted the graphic design work on her Facebook and Instagram. She recently deactivated her Twitter.

1. Globalisation means we can distribute products for members of the target audience across the globe through the internet.
2. We can connect and talk to other people from around the world. This helps us to share our cultures, opinions etc.
3. Influencers and brands can advertise to audiences across the globe and create a brand identity.
Explain one way that using social media could be seen to contradict the concept of global village.
The global village theory states that because we now have social media and we can talk to others across the globe, it feels like we live in the same village. Social media can contradict this theory since cyberbullying was created by social media.
